About

Childhood friends and multi-instrumentalists Dave Adams and Tom Bechtel have been playing music together for years. But a few years ago, they decided to get out and play on a more regular basis, revisiting the timeless tunes of their youth for audiences around Reading, PA.

As Comfort Zone, the duo — Dave on vibraphone, marimba, flute and ukulele, Tom on 12 string acoustic guitar, both alternating vocal duties — offer a highly listenable take on rock and pop songs from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, as well as some newer classics. With covers of Van Morrison, the Eagles, Paul Simon, Philly soul, British pop, and more, there’s something for just about everyone to enjoy.

Through frequent performances at area venues such as the B2 Bistro, Liberty Tap Room, Sly Fox Taphouse, Beverly Hills Tavern, The Bridge Inn, Saucony Creek Brewery, Setter Ridge Vineyards, and local annual festivals, Comfort Zone has built a dedicated following around Reading.

So read on, take a listen, and come out to a show! Dave and Tom will have you back in your own comfort zone before long.
